Packing For A Weekend City Break In Spring

Packing for a weekend city break in spring can be tricky, because the weather is a bit unpredictable! So I decided to write a blog post on it as I am heading off to London next weekend with my Mum and my daughter for a girly getaway.

We fly out next Thursday morning on the “Red Eye” flight and we are staying for 3 nights in the heart of London City. So here is what and how I have packed for this trip:

Toiletries and Makeup

I travel quite a lot and am a bit of an organised freak! So what I like to do, is pack a week in advance. But to do this I need to have double of all makeup, makeup brushes and toiletries! It you travel a lot, I would highly recommend this, because (a) you can be organised and pack in advance (b) you can continue using your other makeup leading up to you trip (c) you have a better chance of not forgetting anything the morning of your flight when things are always panicky! And (d) you can separate all the security liquids and aerosols without any panic on the day you travel.

Heres what I bring:

Day One (Thursday)

Day one requires comfort for traveling, warmth while sight seeing but also something to take me from day to night because we wont have time to return to the Hotel to change. So I’m wearing my midi coat which is warm enough for outdoors but cool enough to wear in doors at sites. I teamed it with my grey scarf, black jeans and my black Bershka comfy boots, which I cant recommend highly enough and only €29.99. Then in the evening when I remove my coat while out for dinner I have chosen a black turtle neck H&M cold shoulder top €19.99 and a statement necklace which is a perfect evening dressed up look.

Day Two (Friday)

Day two is all about shopping! So I will be wearing me Bershka boots again for comfort!, my Zara black aline skirt €29.95, black tights, turtle neck fine knit jumper, my favourite biker jacket and a bright statement Zara scarf which will look great in photos for a pop of colour €29.95.

Friday night we are heading out to a show in the West End. Iv packed my Oasis pink blouse, these are amazing, they don’t crease and are a beautiful cut. They come in a variety of colours and are €33.00. I’ll team this with the black jeans from Day Ones outfit, a statement necklace, clutch bag, shoe boots and my biker jacket from earlier.

Day Three (Saturday)

A lot of indoor sight-seeing that day and Iv checked the weather and it will be approx 11 degrees. So Iv packed my Camel River Island blazer, cream blouse, indigo Tiffosi jeans and leopard print scarf. Perfect for lunch in the Shard!

Saturday night we are out with Family for dinner. Iv packed my Penneys floral dress and I’ll wear my shoe boots, statement necklace and biker jacket with it! Wrap dresses are fantastic for dressing up or down and a great option for a weekend away! They are very flattering on every body shape and very comfortable.

Day Four (Sunday)

Not much time to do anything this day because out flight is at lunch time. So I will wear what I wore over on day one with a grey Dunnes Store polo neck.

As you can see, everything fits into my onboard Trip suitcase that I got in Debenhams. And there is still a little bit of room to squeeze in some new items I might buy while shopping in this amazing city.

Hope this helps, all the above outfit are very easily recreated from items you have in your own wardrobe. Mix and match items to make up different outfits and rememberer this can be done by simple adding different accessories like necklaces and scarfs.

Thanks for taking the time to read and watch xxx
