Returns & Exchanges

We hope you love your purchase, but if you change your mind, we’re happy to offer a return or exchange - subject to the terms below.

 

Return Period

  • You have 14 days from the date you receive your order to notify us if you wish to return an item.

  • Once we’ve been notified, you have an additional 14 days to send the item back to us.

Conditions for Returns

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition

  • With all original tags attached

  • Returned in their original packaging

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.

Refunds

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item(s).

  • Refunds will reflect any applicable delivery fee deductions (see below).

  • You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.

Shipping Costs & Free Shipping Adjustments

  • Standard delivery within Ireland costs €6.

  • Orders over €100 qualify for free standard delivery.

  • If you return items and your final order value falls below €100, the €6 delivery cost will be deducted from your refund to cover the original shipping charge.

Example:

If you spend €120 and return a €40 item, your remaining order total is €80.

Because this is below the €100 free-shipping threshold, a €6 delivery charge will be deducted from your refund.

Return postage costs remain the responsibility of the customer.

We strongly recommend using a tracked postal service, as we cannot be held responsible for parcels that do not arrive.

 

UK Customers – Customs & Duties

If you are returning an order from the UK:

  • Any customs duties, VAT, or additional charges are the customer’s responsibility.

  • Please clearly mark your parcel as “Returned Goods” to avoid extra customs charges.

Items Not Eligible for Return

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items cannot be returned:

  • Earrings or other pierced jewellery

  • Gift cards

  • Sale items (unless faulty)

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you receive a faulty or incorrect item, please contact us at enquirygailsrails@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery, including your order number and a description or image of the issue.

We will arrange a replacement or full refund, including standard return postage, in line with your statutory rights.

Your Statutory Rights

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law.

Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013, you are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases (excluding certain items such as earrings for hygiene reasons).
